Implementation of incremental yield conditions in spherical coordinates

چکیده
The application of incremental plasticity conditions in the axisymmetric problem a spherical tank loaded with internal and external pressure is considered. Inhomogeneous stress distribution leads to increased limiting gradient stresses, which depend on cavity size. For tanks real dimensions, magnification limits are established for different laws approximation deformations’ constraint effect.

Incremental Spherical Linear Interpolation
Animation is often done by setting up a sequence of key orientations, represented by quaternions. The in between orientations are obtained by spherical linear interpolation (SLERP) of the quaternions, which then can be used to rotate the objects. However, SLERP involves the computation of trigonometric functions, which are computationally expensive. Since it is often required that the angle bet...
متن کاملSPH in spherical and cylindrical coordinates
New kernel functions for spherically, planar and cylindrically symmetric problems are developed, based on the fundamental interpolation theory of SPH. The Lagrangian formalism is used to derive the corresponding set of modified SPH equations of motion. The results show good agreement both with analytical and numerical results, in the case of the Sod shock tube test, the Noh infinite shock probl...

متن کاملEquivalence conditions for the finite volume and finite element methods in spherical coordinates
A numerical technique for the solution of the compressible flow equations over unstructured grids in a spherical reference is presented. The proposed approach is based on a mixed finite volume/finite element discretization in space. Equivalence conditions relating the finite volume and the finite element metrics in spherical coordinates are derived. Numerical simulations of the explosion and im...
